An Extremely Helpful Page

Much Thanks to Magicality for this incredible accomplishment!

Sometimes what we THINK is going on turns out to be different than what is ACTUALLY going on.

Here you have a way to gauge your lens performance against the top 100 lenses, though things like sales aren't counted for much on the global LR scale.

NOT incredible as it was a hack, using a tool he did not design.
I am sure you would not like Squidoo or your lenses to be hacked?
Would you be saying the same thing if he hacked your amish site, and published your sales figures?

Jeffry, thanks for bringing it to our attention that it is considered a 'hack' by Squidoo. Normally stats are visible to anyone through Alexa and other means, and the Lensrank is public information as well, and even promoted as such. This is also true of MP, MV, MB and ME.

Since co-op payouts are determined by such things, and everyone who has a page is interested in their pay, it isn't a surprise that people want to see the information that determines their payrate.

This is especially so with Europeans, for whom corporate transparency is EVERYTHING. So it isn't a surprise that it was a European that made this information more visible.

It is also useful to know Squidoo's position on it. Thanks!

It's not a hack ...

Squidoo just doesn't endorse it.

"using a tool he did not design."
What tool would it be using according to you ?

To be more precise, it uses PHP and MySQL. Has a couple of user interface pages and 2 pages to import data. 1 to import the top 100 lenses every day, one to update the stats for the lenses.
